First chemo - Day 4
I have some good news to share. My doctor said the results of my lumbar puncture test (done on last Friday) showed no evidence of leukemia cells in my spinal fluid. I think it also means my brain is likely to be free of those pesky cells too. Phew. Still, I will need to have an IT administered with each round of chemo, just to be on the safe side.
Thanks for the suggestions about my "wee" problem. Mummy and Daddy have been trying different types of diapers on me. They concluded that they will just have to change it ever so often cos there aren't any diapers which can absorb more than 300ml of fluid (the nurses weigh each soiled diaper) without leaking. Oh well, at least the diaper manufacturers are happy.
Thank you for the new books and puppet Elmo ... I'm getting rather bored with my old toys so Mummy and Daddy will swap the old ones with some new toys tomorrow! Yippee.

Hi Ian,
That was great to know the good result of the lumber puncture test! We all wish this is just the beginning of a lot of good news coming to you!
Shonagh and Hannah both think you are a rather cute guy (they saw the photo of you in your blog). Which girl would you prefer; a rather bossy 4 and three quarter old or a 19 months old who loves licking her own snot?
lots of love
